How cost is calculated

Your usage is based on the duration of the source video, not the length of the generated audio or output video. The number of credits per source minute depends on the action. For a supplied script, turn off Auto-generate descriptions in Advanced and attach a valid SRT, VTT, EDL, or JSON file. Uploading or previewing the script is free. AD Audio and AD Video are each one generation charge, including when you choose to review the script before producing the output. Their total is rounded to the nearest 0.1 credit, with a 0.1-credit minimum. Check the displayed quote before confirming. The charge is taken when the script is delivered; automatic AD Video is charged when its video completes. A generation that fails before delivery is not charged. If a paid output cannot be completed even after retrying, contact support.

Editing, voices, and later renders

  • Text and AI edits are free. This includes rewording, pronunciation changes, fixing descriptions from video, and adding descriptions.
  • Speech updates with an included voice are free. Changed text, added descriptions, audio preparation, and retries do not buy the same voice again.
  • An additional voice costs 0.25 credits per source minute, rounded up to the next 0.1 credit, with a 0.1-credit minimum. For example, a five-minute source costs 1.3 credits per new voice. The purchase covers the same team, video, version, AD type, and language. Switching back to an included voice in that scope is free; a different video, language, or AD type needs its own voice entitlement. Saving and restoring versions preserve their included voices.
  • Further ordinary video renders cost 0.25 credits per source minute, plus a voice purchase only if the selected voice is not already included. An AD Video generation includes its first successful render, shared with its saved edits. Saving a new version does not reset that allowance.
  • Translation costs 0.1 credits per source minute per target language, with a 0.1-credit minimum, charged on successful translation. Speech in the new language needs its own included voice.
  • Downloading ready files is free. Preparing audio may require a voice purchase; preparing a new video may require a render charge. The dedicated repair action uses the existing output’s settings without a new credit charge. Contact support if further repair is needed.
Generating a fresh full script is a new paid generation. It is different from editing the descriptions you already have.

Closed captions and transcripts

Closed captions and a transcript are produced as part of dashboard generations at no extra credit cost. API generations do not include captions or transcripts.

Shared across your team

Credits are pooled at the team level. Paid actions use the same balance regardless of which teammate starts them.

Monthly vs. Annual plans

  • Monthly: credits refresh each month and unused credits do not roll over.
  • Annual: credits refresh each year; unused credits roll over while your annual plan remains active.

What happens when credits run out

When your team has insufficient available credits, new paid actions are blocked. Text and AI edits, speech updates with an included voice, and downloads of ready files remain free, subject to your role and account access. Jobs that are still processing reserve their estimated cost until they finish. Those credits are not available for another job, so a new generation may be refused while another video is still processing. Open Billing in the new app to see your balance and available purchase options. Owners, admins, and billing contacts can manage billing. For Classic Studio, use the dashboard plan page. Contact support if your plan does not offer an online purchase option. Monthly top-ups expire at your next billing reset. Annual top-ups roll over while the annual plan remains active.

Classic Studio and API workflows

Existing Classic Studio customers keep their current workflow. Classic generation rates are 0.5 credits per source minute for text, 0.75 for Standard AD audio, 1 for a complete AD video, and 0.5 for video from existing text. Classic Smart Edit changes text for free, but generating new audio or video from that text is a paid action. Downloading already generated files is free. The new app’s included-voice and first-render rules do not change the classic API’s billing. Check the estimate for your workflow and the API reference before processing. Custom Enterprise terms may differ; contact support about your agreement.
